History
A chronology of the Hotel Seehof
1950: Marianne Münsterer has a single-family house constructed on the site
1954: “Josefstal” guesthouse is purchased and re-named “Josefshöhe”
1960: “Pension Seerose” bed-and-breakfast is opened in the single-family house
1969: House is demolished and the Hotel Seehof built on the same site under the direction of Marianne Münsterer with son Walter and his wife Elisabeth. Walter Münsterer takes over the management of the Hotel Seehof.
1972: New building added (connected to the main hotel) & swimming pool built
1974: Birth of daughter Ina & construction of private living quarters by Münsterer family
1977: Hotel Seehof expanded with construction of new building
1978: Birth of current owner Christian Münsterer
1983: Underground walkway is built between private quarters and Hotel Seehof
1986: “Haus Kilian” is purchased and lobby & bar area built
1987: Indoor tennis centre, bowling alley & games rooms opened
1989: Hotel expanded to include the “Kohlerhof” & new rooms (incl. “Suite Kaiserblick”)
1990: Indoor riding centre & underground garage with 100 parking spaces opened
1991: “Haus Kilian” demolished & replaced by living quarters for staff
1993: Beauty centre opened & luxury suites completed
1997: Several double rooms expanded to family studios
1999: Work begins on the sauna village, which opens a year later
2001: “Seeresidenz” building completed
2006: Seetenne, bar & disco with capacity of 350 people opened
2009: Football pitch next to hotel opened (FIFA dimensions)
2013: Hotel’s horseriding centre is renovated and updated
2014: Swimming area opens after a construction period of one year
2015: Water adventure area opens
2016: “Kapelle Heilige Elisabeth” is built and opened
2017: Sauna village at the Hotel Seehof renovated and updated
2019: Staff house renovated
2019: Part of the restaurant renovated
2020: Renovation of the lobby as well as the room wings in the Seeresidenz
2021: Renovation of the indoor swimming pool, the connecting tunnel between Seeresidenz and Seehof and the parlours in the restaurant.
Complete renovation of various rooms (family studios and double rooms) at the Seehof
2022: Renovation of the outdoor pool of the indoor swimming pool
2023: Renovation and redesign of the Seehof restaurant

Some of the more than 60 members of staff at our hotel work in the background, while others are there every day to welcome you to our restaurant, spa or reception desk.
We are happy and proud that so many of our staff – from reception manager Ingrid Jachmich to head chef Fredi Valentin – have been with us here at the Hotel Seehof for many years.
