Guests staying at the 4*S Hotel Seehof receive free hiking maps of the region. Rucksacks and hiking poles can also be hired from reception.

Hiking pass & hiking app

Visitors to the Kaiserwinkl region should visit the tourist information office in Kössen or Walchsee to pick up their hiking pass or download the free SummitLynx app onto their smartphone. All you then need to do is collect stamps from a range of huts and peaks in the region. If you get enough you will receive the Kaiserwinkl Hiking Pin (€3 for adults).

Children who manage to gather stamps from four locations will receive the Hiking Fox Pin (free of charge for Kaiserwinkl Card holders).

This one-hour hike along the Four Elements Trail in Walchsee invites guests of all ages to learn more about the four elements water, earth, fire and air. Summer Cable Cars

Explore the Kaiserwinkl region in summer

Those who want to head into the mountains without having to climb them on foot will be happy to hear that many of the best hikes in the Kaiserwinkl region can be accessed using cable cars. Gondolas in Kössen and Zahmer Kaiser remain open in summer and whisk passengers into the high mountains in the blink of an eye where they can enjoy fine views of the Kitzbühel Alps.

And the best thing is that with the Kaiserwinkl Card, which all guests receive when they check in at the Hotel Seehof, you will get a great discount on cable cars in the region.
