Mountain Hiking - On the Go in Tyrol’s Kaiser Mountains

Green Mountain Pastures and Breezy Hills

The Wilde Kaiser towers rough and ruggedly at over 2300 meters between the soft hills of the Chiemgau Alps on the north and the Kitzbühel Alps on the south. An impressive contrast in one of Tyrol’s most fascinating hiking areas.

Over 200 well-marked hiking paths will lead you through Kaiserwinkl’s magical, beautiful landscape. Whether you prefer the green slopes of the Zahmen Kaiser or the Wilden Kaiser’s rugged rock walls, whether you prefer something comfortable for the entire family or something more active and sporty: You will find the right tour for your needs at Kaiserwinkl. Discover your hiking routes on your own or sign up for one of the numerous guided tours in the region and take advantage of our Seehof Hiking Service.

With the Kaiserwinkler Hiking Pass you can discover a hiking pass as a memento of your most memorable hiking experiences. Reward yourself by stopping by one of our 30 quaint huts and indulging in delicious, regional Tyrolean specialities.

Special thematic and brief hiking paths, such as the Walchsee 4-element path, make hiking an interesting experience, even for families with small children.

If you are not in the mood for a breathtaking climb, then the Kaiserwinkl Summer Cable Cars will comfortably transport you to the peak of your choice with a beautiful view of Lake Walchsee and the mountains. You will begin your tour relaxed. You may return to the valley on foot or perhaps using the Summer Toboggan Track at the Zahmer Kaiser chairlift.

If you are feeling brave and wish to experience a true altitude flight, you may also get a close up the valley using a paraglider, perhaps our most memorable option.
